Ukraine facing unprecedented energy crisis following Russian air strikes

October 20, Kathmandu: Ukraine is facing an unprecedented energy crisis following Russian air strikes on Ukraine’s powerhouses.

The National Energy Company of Ukraine has requested that all electrical devices be charged by Thursday morning.

According to the Ukrainian authorities, there will be load shedding for 4 hours a day from Thursday.

Meanwhile, Russia continued to attack  Ukrainian powerhouses on Thursday as well .

Russia has been launching air strikes on Ukraine’s power facilities since October 10. 

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zeleski said that more than 30 per cent of Ukraine’s power plants were damaged in the Russian attack.
