Dozens of homes swept away by landslide in Salyan

Salyan: Dozens of homes were swept by landslides at different places in Salyan District following incessant rainfall for three days.

Salyan District Police office has confirmed landslides in Sharada, Bagchaur, and Bangaad Kupende municipalities and Darma, Chhatreshwori, Kapurkot and Kalimati rural municipalities swept away dozens of houses.

Since the rainfall still continues, the details of the damages are still awaited.

Moreover, the rain-induced disasters have incurred damages to electricity transmission leavening entire swaths of rural areas in darkness for the last three days.

The crumbling roads have added trouble to people in their commute and dozens of rural roads have been badly hit by landslides.
