Indian Army Chief General Pandey arrives in Kathmandu

Kathmandu: Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pandey has arrived in Kathmandu for a 4-day Nepal visit at the invitation of Nepali Army Chief General Prabhuram Sharma.

Lieutenant General Bal Krishna Karki received Indian Army Chief Pandey at the VVIP lounge at Tribhuvan International Airport on Sunday.

President Bidhya Devi Bhandari will confer the title of Honorary General of Nepali Army to Indian Army Chief General Panday. Nepal and India have been conferring honorary General titles to each other’s Army Chiefs since 1951.

Meanwhile, Indian Army Chief Pandey has a schedule to meet Prime Minister Sher Bahadur on Tuesday.
