Radio Nepal concludes training for digitalization and archiving of its content

March 5, Kathmandu: Radio Nepal has successfully organized a six-day training for archiving its audio records by converting them into digital records 

Concluding the program on Friday, the Executive Director of Radio Nepal, Buddhi Bahadur KC said that it was his dream project to keep the audio content of Radio Nepal intact by using modern technology. 

Executive Director KC urged the participants to put into practice what they have learned in the training to ensure that the audio content of Radio Nepal, since its founding days, is kept intact. 

KC said that Radio Nepal’s vintage content could be accessed worldwide through digitalization. 

Radio Nepal Training Branch Chief Janardan Bista said that the training would be useful for the protection and promotion of Radio Nepal’s audio materials in the future. 

Manoj Shah, Neha Shrestha and Bhim Ghimire, who participated in the training, said that the training was fruitful and thanked the organizers, administration and trainers.  

The training was conducted by Puneet Bhanushali and Shudhansu Gupta, trainers of Whiteways System, Singapore. 

There were 28 participants from engineering and program branches in the training.
