Five die in jeep accident in Baitadi
November 22, Baitadi: 5 people died in a jeep accident that occurred at Dasharathchand Municipality-4 of Baitadi district at 8:00 pm on Sunday.
The jeep was carrying the people attending a marriage.
It was heading to Simayal from Dehimadau of the district.
Baitadi Police Officer Darshan Khaadka said 5 people died on the spot.
The dead have been identified as 48 years old Rajendra Bahadur Chand, 38 years old Dhan Bahadur Chand, 65 years old Prem Bahadur Chand, 65 years old Tara Singh Thapa, and 58 years old Khem Singh Karki.
Similarly, two people sustained serious injuries.
Police Officer Khadka said the jeep fell some 700 meters down the roadway.
