China’s People’s Congress Chairman Li visiting Nepal from September 12 to 15

September 5, Kathmandu: The Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, Li Zhanshu, is visiting Nepal at the invitation of House of Representatives Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota from September 12 to 15.

Speaker Sapkota and Chairman Li will hold delegation-level bilateral talks on September 12.

The Speaker will host a banquet in honour of Li and his delegation on the evening of September 12, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.

During his stay in Nepal, Li will pay separate calls to President Bidya Devi Bhandari on September 14, and on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on September 13.

Li will also pay separate visits to the Chairman of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina and the Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Narayan Khadka during his visit.

 Chairman of CPN-UML, K P Sharma Oli; and former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, will also hold separate meetings with Chairman Li in course of his visit to Nepal.
