Government is effortful to resolve problems of landless squatters: PM Deuba

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba says the government is effortful to resolve the problems of landless squatters.
Addressing a program organized by the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperative, and poverty alleviation in Kathmandu today, Prime Minister Deuba said the government was seriously working to solve the problems of landless squatters.
Prime Minister Deuba directed the Department of Survey, and Department of Land Management and Archive among other offices to put all efforts to stop the encroachment of public land.
The prime minister also stressed the need for scientific management of land for national development and prosperity.
Likewise, Minister for Land Management, cooperative, and Poverty Alleviation Shashi Shrestha sought cooperation among three-tier governments to provide land ownership certificates by identifying the real landless squatters.
