Ruling parties to issue joint statement on electoral alliance for local polls

Kathamndu: A meeting of the top leaders of the five-party ruling alliance has decided to issue a joint statement regarding the electoral alliance for the upcoming local level election.

CPN Unified Socialist leader Jeevan Ram Shrestha said the meeting of the leaders held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwater today made the decision to this effect.

The meeting was attended by prime minister and Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamala Dahal Prachanda, CPN Unified Socialist chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, and Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel among others.
