Foreign Affairs Minister Khadka meets Indian counterpart in Colombo
Colombo: Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Narayan Khadka held a meeting with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Colombo on the sidelines of the 18th Ministerial Meeting of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral, Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC).
Minister Khadka is currently in Sri Lanka in course of attending the BIMSTEC meeting.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two ministers discussed issues relating to Nepal-India bilateral ties, mutual interests, and common concerns.
Meanwhile, India’s Minister for External Affairs Jaishankar on a social site said the meeting focused on promoting cooperation for India-Nepal connectivity, power trade, fertilizer supplies, and the energy and health sectors.
As he said, they agreed to focus on taking forward the Ramayan circuit ahead.
On the occasion, the ministers also held discussions about Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s official visit to India scheduled for April 1.
