NCP Parliamentary party to vote for Lumbini and Bhalubang
Butwal: Nepal Communist Party’s (NCP) parliamentary party for Province 5 has decided to vote for proposal tabled in the Provincial Assembly regarding the name and capital of the province.
This decision was taken as by the meeting of the provincial parliamentary meeting held at the residence of the Chief Minister in Butuwal on Saturday.
The provincial government has tabled a proposal proposing the province’s name as Lumbini and Balubang area as the capital.
Discussions regarding the proposal will be starting from Monday.
Meanwhile, The Rupendhi District Administration has imposed prohibitory orders in some areas of Butwal city as protests gripped the city following the decision to change the provincial capital.
The prohibitory order, which started from 6 A.M on Sunday, will continue till 6 P.M. on Wednesday.
No more than five people can gather in one place as per the prohibitory orders.
