NC suspends rebel candidates for 5 years scrapping their general membership

Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress has suspended rebel candidates for 5 years who filed candidacies dyeing the party leadership.

They have been removed from the general membership of the party.

Chief Secretary at the Central Office of the Nepali Congress Krishana Paudel said the party took action against the rebel candidates as they filed candidacies against the official candidates of the party and the candidates from the ruling coalition.

He added that the proposer and supporter of the rebel candidates have also been suspended for 5 years.

The party took action as they did not withdraw their candidacies as per the direction of the party.
