Disrupted Dumre-Besishahar road section reopens

Damauli: The Dumre-Beshishahar road section that was disrupted due to landslides has come into resumption from today. Vehicular movement along the road section was obstructed since Wednesday evening owing to the landslides triggered by incessant rainfall.

Local people were adversely affected following the disruption of traffic along the road due to landslides in Bhanu municipality-1, Andherikhola. Though the road came into operation after the removal of landslide debris on Thursday evening, it was again disrupted with recurring mudslides.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Yuwaraj Timilsina informed that it took more time to clear off the road as the landslides took place in different parts of the road.

“The road section has been brought into re-operation after removing all the landslides debris”, he shared.
