Home Minister Khand directs for rescue, relief efforts for disaster victims

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has directed the administration and security agencies to immediately manage treatment, and launch rescue and relief efforts for those affected by flooding and landslides at various places in Darchula district.

Stating that the government was committed to save people’s lives, he also directed the use of helicopters as per need for the efforts.

Ministry’s spokesperson Phanindra Mani Pokharel said after the direction of the Home Minister, a helicopter of the Nepal Army deployed from Surkhet, reached the incident sites .
