Russia might launch massive attack targeting Ukraine’s Independence Day: President Zelensky

August 24, Kathmandu: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Russia could launch a massive attack and that Ukraine would also give a strong response in retaliation. 

On the eve of the day that Ukraine gained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991 and the completion of six months of the Russian invasion, Zelensky expressed his commitment to getting back the Ukrainian territory of Crimea, which was annexed by Russia in 2014. 

Meanwhile, Western countries have expressed concern that Russia may launch a heavy attack on Ukraine targeting the Independence Day of Ukraine which is being celebrated on Wednesday.
