NSU demands subsidized electric oven for all students

June 15, Kathmandu: The Nepal Students Union (NSU), has demanded an electric induction stove for all students across the country at a subsidized price

. A team led by the President of the NSU Dujang Sherpa demanded for the same with the Alternative Energy Promotion Centre’s leadership in a meeting held on Tuesday.

The NSU team met Centre’s Technical Director Dr Narayan Prasad Adhikari and urged him to consider distributing the induction stove to all students in a subsidized price.

The Centre recently announced to provide an electric induction stove free of cost to students from targeted communities, especially those from remote areas and pursuing their education in rented rooms in the Kathmandu Valley. The Centre also called for application from the college and universities students to apply with a necessary document for electric induction stove.
