Energy Minister Bhusal and British Ambassador Pollitt discuss alternative energy and energy security (audio report)

May 9, Kathmandu: The Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Pampha Bhusal, and the British Ambassador to Nepal, Nicola Pollitt, on Monday held talks on alternative sources of energy and energy security in Nepal.
During the meeting held at Sinhadarbar, Minister Bhusal and Ambassador Pollitt also discussed various aspects relating to the Nepal-UK relations and mutual cooperation.
Minister Bhusal thanked the British government for its support to Nepal to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
Appraising the British Ambassador that the development of reservoir-based projects was the priority of Nepal, the Energy Minister urged the British government and the private sector there to invest in such projects.
On the occasion, Ambassador Pollitt said the British government had been working together with the Alternative Energy Promotion Centre and it was willing to collaborate in other energy sectors as well.
