Ambassador discusses development partnership with NPC Vice-Chair

Kathmandu: Vice-Chairperson of the National Planning Commission Dr Bishwanath Poudel and Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Nepal Nicola Pollitt have discussed various aspects of development partnership. During the discussion held at the NPC today, various aspects of Nepal-United Kingdom relations as well as development partnership and future mutual assistance were discussed.

Discussions were held on the relationship between Nepal and the United Kingdom which is more than 200 years old, assistance received from the UK for Nepal’s socio-economic development, ongoing development projects and mutual interests, according to NPC Secretary Kewal Prasad Bhandari.

The United Kingdom recently provided more than 2.1 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to Nepal in support of the Government of Nepal’s vaccination campaign against COVID-19.
