Security prerequisite to good governance, development: PM Deuba

February 5, Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said security is the prerequisite to good governance and development.

During the second quarterly review meeting of the Defense Ministry for the current fiscal year, 2078/79 on Saturday, the Prime Minister added citizen’s safety was equally imperative.

On the occasion, the PM said the construction of national corridors, including Kathmandu-Tarai/Madhes Expressway bearing strategic significance for the economic development, would be completed in time.

PM Deuba directed the concerned ministries to manage adequate resources including budget for the construction of national pride projects and significant roadways.

The progress reports of the Defense Ministry, Nepali Army, National Security Council secretariat, Defense University Infrastructures Development Committee were shared during the review meeting.
