Night curfew imposed in New Delhi as corona cases spike

April 6, New Delhi: The Delhi government has imposed night curfew in Delhi from Tuesday between 10 pm and 5 am till April 30.

Officials say only the essential services and emergency movement of vehicles will be allowed.

A proposal to bring back the curfew was sent to the Chief Minister’s Office on Monday after several discussions within the government over the sharp rise in Covid-19 cases.

Officials also took into account large gatherings at restaurants and clubs at night.

The last time night curfew imposed in Delhi was on the December 32 and the January 1 to discourage large gathering on New Year’s Day.
