Preparation for Chinese President Xi’s official visit to Nepal is underway with topmost priority: Minister Baskota
Kathmandu, September 26: Minister Gokul Prasad Baskota has said that preparation for state Visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping is being carried out from both the countries with top priority.
Addressing the press meet organized today at the Ministry to unveil the cabinet decisions taken on 24 September, Government Spokesperson and Minister Baskota said the date for the Chinese President has not been fixed yet.
Saying the government has been leading diplomatic effort to mark the current fiscal year as the year of high-level bilateral visits, Minister Baskota added that this year Nepal will witness high-level visits from various friendly countries including China and India.
In response to another question, Minister Baskota said Ruling Nepal Communist Party’s ideology will not be changed due to recent discussion between the party’s leaders with the Chinese Communist Party’s leaders. He reiterated that Nepal Communist Party will move ahead with its own original ideology.
Unveiling the Cabinet decisions taken on 24 September, Minister Baskota said the government will manage all the treatment cost of former president Dr. Rambaran Yadav who is undergoing treatment at Chandigarh of India. Minister Baskota added that the expenses on treatment of former president will be managed by Nepali Embassy at New Delhi.
Likewise, Minister Baskota also said the government has decided to provide three hundred thousand rupees each for the treatment of Jeni Khadka and Muskan Khatun who had been victims of acid attack.
Likewise, the cabinet decided to hold the by-election of 16 wards no of Bharatpur Metropolis of Chitwan on coming 30 November, transfer Assistant Inspector Generals, sing an agreement to have flight connections between Nepal and Australia.
