Landslides in Mugu and Humla claim 12 lives

Mugu Police said the landslide triggered by the incessant rainfall at Chhyanath Rara Municipality-11 in Mugu killed 8 people.

Police added that five persons were injured in the landslide and undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

Likewise, four people died after a landslide buried a house at Chankheli Rural Municipality in Humla.

Karnali Province Police Office, Surkhet informed that 5 persons were injured in the landslide while 2 of the injured were in critical condition.

The insistent rainfall has largely affected the normal life in Kalikot, Jajarkot, Jumla, Mugu, Humla and Surkhet districts in Karnali Province.
