HoR endorses Senior Citizens (First Amendment) Bill, and Nepal Engineering Council (First Amendment) Bill

Kathmandu: A meeting of the House of Representatives unanimously passed the Senior Citizens (First Amendment) Bill and the Nepal Engineering Council (First Amendment) Bill on Wednesday.

Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizens, Uma Regmi had tabled the Senor Citizens First Amendment Bill for its endorsement.

Minister Regmi said the amendment aimed at providing support to the senior citizens from the State.

Similarly, Minister for Physical Infrastructures and Transport Mohammad Istiyak Rai tabled a proposal in the House seeking the passage of the Nepal Engineering Council (First Amendment) Bill.

Minister Rai explained that the bill had provisions for opening branch offices of the Council in all seven provinces and, providing online services.

Likewise, annual reports of the Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumer Welfare Committee and the International Affairs Committee were presented in the house meeting today.

Meanwhile, the House meeting agreed to obtain membership in the Global Green Growth Institute.
