PM Deuba and CPN-UML Chair Oli express heartfelt condolences over demise of Japan’s former PM Sinzo Abe

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and the main opposition CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli have expressed their heartfelt condolences over the demise of Japan’s former Prime Minister Sinzo Abe.

Via his Twitter handle, PM Deuba wrote that Mr. Abe was not only a renowned world leader but also a good friend of Nepal.

He also expressed his thoughts and prayers to the people of Japan and bereaved family members.

Likewise, former PM Oli via a tweet on Friday strongly condemned the barbaric murder of former PM Abe.

He added that Abe was a friend of Nepal and had played an important role in strengthening Nepal-Japan relations during his premiership.

He expressed sympathy to the bereaved family in this sorrowful time.

Mr. Abe was assassinated on Friday while addressing a campaign in a city of Japan.
