Balendra elected as KMC Mayor, Sunita as Deputy-Mayor

May 27, Kathmandu: Independent candidate Balendra Shah has been elected as the mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. He received 61 thousand 7 hundred 67 votes. His nearest competitor Nepali Congress Candidate Srijana Shreshtha had got 38 thousand 1hundred and 17 votes. CPN UML Candidate Keshav Sthapit was in third place with 38 thousand 1 hundred and 17 votes.

Likewise, Sunita Dangol has been elected as the deputy mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. She got 68 thousand 6 hundred and 12 votes.
