President Bhandari stresses quality education

Sindhupalchowk: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has stressed the need for ensuring quality education.

Inaugurating a newly constructed building of the Thangpal Valley Secondary School at Panchpokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality-4 of Sindhupalchowk district on Sunday, the Presidnet said education should be commensurate to the investment in this sector.

The school building was demolished by the 2015 Earthquake. She hoped that the school would cater to quality education.

The President expressed worry that Nepal’s highlands were facing acute impacts of climate change- the dearth of snow, risk of glacial lake outburst, flash floods etc. She emphasized climate adaptation with proper plans.

On the occasion, Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Devendra Poudel, said the new structure of the school would be helpful to ensure quality.
