Government forms Advertisement Board

Kathmandu- The Government of Nepal (GoN) has constituted the Advertisement Board for the first time with the objective of formulating the overall advertisement policy and regulating the advertisement in the communications sector of Nepal.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has appointed Mahendra Bahadur Sherchan, Shuva Shankar Kandel, Balaram Thapa, Chandra Neupane and Bandana Danuwar as members of the Board.

The Joint Secretary each from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology would also be the members of the Board.

The term of the Board members would be of four years. Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung handed the appointment letters to all the members amid a programme organized at the Ministry on Monday.
