Role of Nepal Police in maintaining peace and security: PM Deuba

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said that Nepal Police has an important role in maintaining the peace and security of the country.

Addressing the program organized on the occasion of the 67th Nepal Police Day, Prime Minister Deuba said that the government is sensitive to internal and external security as it is the basis for building peace and security in the country.

The Prime Minister praised the work done by the Nepal police organization for the safety of all the citizens as the citizens who are affected by the emergency remember the Nepal Police first.

While recalling that the activity shown by the Nepal Police in protecting the lives of citizens during natural disasters, rescue, and distribution of relief is commendable, he expressed the commitment of the government to make the police organization with a proud history more responsible, professional, and resourceful in the future.
