Country records 38 cases of COVID-19

Kathmandu: The country has recorded 38 cases of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours. During this period, 2,818 persons underwent tests for coronavirus, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

The latest update shows the recovery of 52 infected persons. The recovery rate stands at 98.7 percent.

Currently, there are 1,122 active cases of infection. So far, number of deaths caused by coronavirus has reached 12,018.

Those infected with coronavirus are getting recovery at home isolations and institutional isolations. Among the infected ones, twelve are receiving treatment at ICU in different hospitals.

Kathmandu district alone has more than 200 infections, while Lalitpur has 150 and Bhaktapur 20.

The districts having zero case of infection are Taplejung, Tehrathum, Bhojpur, Sindhuli, Kavrepalanchowk, Manang, Mustang, Myagdi, Syangja, Humla, Dolpa, Kalikot, Rukum Paschim, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Mugu, Jumla and Darchula.
