8 people die in a Jeep accident in Salyan district

8 people have died on the spot in a jeep accident that occurred at Salyan at the early morning on Wednesday.

The Jeep was heading towards Kapurkot rural municipality of Salyan district from kohalpur of Banke.

Police said that the deceased had been identified as jeep driver 21 years old Jit Bahadur Bohora, 37 years old Dharma Oli, 40 years old Top Bahadur Oli and his 11 yearsl old son Basanta Oli, 30 yearsl Old Suresh Khatri, 70 years old Khumlal Oli, 55 years old Kumari Oli and 35 years old Lalit Oli.

Meanwhile, 35 years old Tilak Oli has sustained injuries in the accident. He is undergoing treatment at Tulsipur provincial hospital.

Police cited uncontrolled speed as the cause of the accident.

The bus had veered off some 1 hundred 50 meters from the road.
