COVID-19: Country records 230 new cases with two deaths

Kathmandu: Country has recorded 230 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Sanjay Kumar Thakur, such number of coronavirus cases was detected in course of conducting 3,826 tests. 

Similarly, 78 people have been recovered from the virus during the period. The recovery rate is 98.6 per cent. Coronavirus was confirmed on 49 people in the Kathmandu Valley.

There are 2,505 active cases of coronavirus in the country, according to the Ministry. Two persons succumbed to coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

Kathmandu district has more than 500 active cases of coronavirus while Lalitpur district has more than 200 active cases.

Likewise, 2,380 people are on home isolation, 125 on institutional isolation, 32 in ICU and three are receiving treatment under ventilator support.

A total of 165,206 people received vaccine against coronavirus during the period.
