Language Commission presents annual report to President

Kathmandu: The Language Commission has submitted its annual report for the last fiscal year to President Bidhya Devi Bhandari.

Language commission chair Laba Dev Awasti submitted the report to the president amidst a programme organized at Sheetal Niwas today.

Submitting the report, Chair Awasti said the commission has recommended 11 other languages that can be used as official language in provinces except Nepali language.

The report also suggests conducting language surveys to protect and develop languages.
