Nepal defeat Kenya by 5 wickets

Nairobi: Nepal defeated Kenya by 5 wickets in the first T-20 match played under the series between the two nations in Nairobi.

Nepal chased the target of 131 runs in 19.2 overs losing 5 wickets. Dipendra Singh Airee scored the highest 33 runs for the Nepali team. Likewise, Aasif Sheikh scored 24 runs, Gyanendra Malla collected 23 runs and Aarif Sheikh scored 19 runs.  

In the first innings, Kenya managed to score 130 runs losing 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. From the Nepali balling side, Sompal Kami took 3 wickets and Sandeep Lamichhane took 2 wickets.

Nepal will play the second T-20 match against Kenya on Friday (26 August). Nepal will play a total of five T-20 matches and 3 one-day matches against Kenya under the series.
