EC starts internal preparation for upcoming federal and provincial elections

Kathmandu: The Election Commission has started internal preparation for the upcoming Federal and provincial election.

Addressing a press meeting at the Election Commission on Tuesday, Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya claimed the recent local election held in May was the most economical one in comparison to other elections.

He also vowed to make the federal and provincial elections economical too.

Chief Election Commission said the election commission returned 3.07 billion rupees to the government from the allocated 8.11 billion rupees for the local election completing the task with the expense of 5.04 billion rupees.
