HoR lawmakers express their concerns over contemporary issues

Kathmandu: Lawmakers in the House of Representatives have expressed their concerns over contemporary issues.

CPN (UML) lawmaker Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai drew the attention of the government to the risk of monkeypox infection in Nepal.

He demanded the government adopt alertness and preparations against Monkeypox as it had also been detected in India.

Likewise, lawmaker Khaga Raj Adhikari demanded the government inform the House about whether a letter had been sent to the US government regarding Nepal’s non-participation in the State Partnership Program.

Lawmaker Gagan Kumar Thapa called on the government to inform the House immediately regarding the money laundering issue.

He urged the government to make the facts public on issues like tax evasion, increasing corruption and weakening the overall value system in the country.

Lawmaker Asha Kumari BK demanded the government provide identity cards to the families of forcefully disappeared ones at the earliest.

Similarly, Lawmaker Goma Devkota urged the government to provide fertilizers farmers and books for the students in remote parts of the country.
