Russia is not to be blamed for global food crisis: Foreign Minister Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has refuted the allegations that the food crisis in the world is increasing because of Russia. 

Addressing a conference with the ambassadors of the Arab countries in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, Foreign Minister Lavrov accused the Western countries of distorting the truth about the adverse impact on global food security due to the sanctions imposed on Russia. 

He also accused the western countries of trying to maintain their dominance in the world. 

According to the BBC, the food crisis is increasing in many Arab and African countries due to the Russia-Ukraine war.
