Preparations on for Nepal’s high-level participation in UNGA

Kathmandu: Nepal is making internal preparations for high-level participation in the United Nations 77th General Assembly.

Addressing a press briefing in Singha Durbar on Wednesday, Spokesperson of the Foreign Affairs Ministry Sewa Lamsal said the ministry would formally inform about Nepal’s participation in the UN General Assembly after the decision of the Council of Ministers.

In response to journalists’ query, Spokesperson Lamsal said the matter of sending a letter to the USA regarding Nepal’s non-participation in the State Partnership Programme (SPP) was under study.

The Spokesperson also informed that the schedule of the proposed visit of PM Sher Bahadur Deuba to the US would be unveiled at an appropriate time for both sides.
