News reporting about federal parliament should be made more effective: NA Chair Timilsina

July 19, Kathmandu: National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina on Tuesday held discussions with chiefs of the public media houses on ways to make reporting news about the federal parliament more effective.
During the discussion, Speaker Timalsina expressed concern about important activities of the National Assembly not getting a proper place in the media.
He expressed the opinion that both the National Assembly and the House of Representatives should be given equal importance.

Radio Nepal’s Executive Director Buddhi Bahadur KC and News Director Pawan Pyakurel, National News Agency (RSS) Chairman Dharmendra Jha and Editor-in-Chief Yek Raj Pathak, Gorkhapatra’s Executive Chairman Bishnu Prasad Subedi, and National Assembly Secretary Rajendra Phuyal, Spokesperson Rojnath Pandey and Communication Expert Ashok Paudel, among others, expressed their views on making parliamentary reporting more effective
