President Bhandari honours various personalities with Pushpalal National Award
Kathmandu: President Bidya Devi Bhandari stresses the need to pay attention to the development of science and technology along with art, literature, and culture.

Conferring the Pushpalal National Prize to dignitaries amidst a programme at the Office of the President today, President Bhandari stressed the need for a self-reliant economy to realize the dream of socialism as envisioned by Pushpa Lal.
Lauding the contribution of Late Leader Pushpa Lal to the Nepali democratic movement, she stressed the need for prioritizing the modernization and commercialization of agriculture.
On the occasion, President Bhandari conferred the Puspalal National Award 2021 to Dhanendra Basnet, Dr. Dhaka Ram Sapkota, and Jagannath Acharya.
Likewise, the President also honoured Mohan Chandra Adhikari, Prof. Krisha Prasad Pokhrel and Pabita Gharti with Puspalal National Award, 2020.
The prizes include one hundred thousand rupees cash and a letter of appreciation.
The event was also addressed by CPN Unified Socialist Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal and Tourism, Culture, and Civil Aviation Minister Jeevan Ram Shrestha.
