Russian President Putin challenges Western nations to defeat Russia on battlefield

July 8, Kathmandu:  Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that Russia has still not taken comprehensive military action in Ukraine and that a more dire situation could arise if it does. 

Addressing Russian parliamentary leaders, President Putin challenged the West to defeat Russia on the battlefield, according to Al Jazeera. 

Russia, meanwhile, has stepped up its offensive in eastern Ukraine. 

A rocket attack in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv has killed at least three civilians and injured five others, Al Jazeera reported.
