Radio Nepal and Nepal Television’s reach to be expanded

Kathmandu: The government has included a plan to expand the reach of Radio Nepal and Nepal Television to all the parts of the country in the budget for the fiscal year 2022/23.

Allocating a budget of 8.69 billion rupees to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the government included the programme of constructing a Film city in Dollakha in the public-private partnership model.

The government has also announced a programme of setting up a National Cyber Security Centre to make the communication sector responsible, secured and dignified.

The budget also announced a plan to reduce the price of the internet and make telecommunication services accessible.

In the budget, the government announced a plan to merge the printing Department and security printing.
