Parliamentary Committee directs government to make textbooks available to all public schools across the country within a month

Kathmandu: The Education and Health Committee of the House of Representatives has directed the government to distribute the required textbooks to all the public schools across the country within a month.

During a meeting held with office bearers of the Education, Science and Technology Ministry on Wednesday, the parliamentary committee asked them to print the necessary textbooks and distribute them to the public schools within 30 days.

Committee President Jayapuri Gharti suggested/ the Education ministry seek a long-term solution to the issue of textbook shortages.

Education Secretary Pramila Devi Bajracharya said the textbooks could not be published on time due to the shortage of printing papers.
