Local elections’ vote-counting ongoing : Nepali Congress leading the tally

May 13, Kathmandu: The counting of votes for the local level election held on May 13 is still ongoing. Out of 753 local levels, the results of 617 municipalities have been made public to date.

According to the results so far, the Nepali Congress is in the first place by winning 281 local units while the CPN-UML is in the second place, winning 172 local units. The CPN-Maoist Center is in the third position with 111 local units.

Similarly, Janata Samajwadi Party has won 20 local units, CPN (Unified Socialist) 14 local units and Others have won 30 local units.
