Chairman Nepal thanks the Commission
Kathmandu: Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal has thanked the Election Commission for the enthusiastic participation of the people and the peaceful conduct of the local elections.
He issued a statement yesterday thanking all the election workers and security personnel on behalf of the party.
In the election held on Friday in 753 local levels and 6,743 wards across the country, about 64 per cent of the 17.7 million voters had cast their votes.
According to the Election Commission, re-polling will be held in 43 polling stations and 77 polling booths in 28 municipalities in 16 districts.
