Qatar Fund for Development provides medical aid to Hetauda Hospital

May 12, Kathmandu: The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) has provided medical aid to Nepal.

QFFD has provided a liquid medical oxygen tank to Hetauda Hospital in Hetauda, Makwanpur of Bagmati Province.

The QFFD Director-General, Khalifa bin Jassim Al Kuwari, said that the aid would help Nepal to achieve the third goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to health and well-being.

 “The aid also reflects efforts made by the State of Qatar to combat the outbreak of the pandemic which has been a common threat facing the world,”  Al Kuwari said.

The Ambassador of Qatar to Nepal, Yousuf Bln Mohamed Al-Hail, confirmed the assistance provided to Nepal, stating that it would strengthen Nepal’s efforts to fight the spread of the coronavirus and support the health and Infrastructure of the country.

“The aid reflects cordial relations between the two friendly countries and is further evidence of the collaboration and coordination between the State of Qatar and Nepal, ” Ambassador Al-Hail said.

QFFD since the beginning of the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has been sending urgent medical aid including supplies and vaccines to different countries around the world.
