Preparation for local election at final phase

Kathmandu: The election commission says the election preparation is in the final phase.

The Election Commission is also distributing the voters’ ID cards on Thursday as well.

The eligible voters with their names listed on the voters’ list will get the voters’ ID on Wednesday and Thursday from the respective polling centers.

While distributing the voters’ ID, the Commission has been imparting voters’ education as well.

Joint Secretary of the Commission Surya Prasad Aryal the election officers along with their team members had been imparting voters’ education as people approached to receive voters’ IDs.

He further said the all-party meeting held at the polling center also asked the names of the parties’ representatives to volunteer at the polling center.

Likewise, the commission has warned not to carry out any activities against the election code of conduct during the silence period.
