Ruling alliance meeting today to discuss seat-sharing

Kathmandu: A meeting of the ruling coalition is being held today to divide the metropolitan and sub-metropolitan constituencies in the local level election to be held on the 13^th of May.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has said that an agreement was reached at a meeting of the coalition held at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar, yesterday. However, no agreement has been reached between the ruling parties regarding the sub-metropolis.

It is said that the Nepali Congress has reached an agreement to field its candidate in three of the six metropolitan cities, the CPN-Maoist Center, the CPN-Unified Socialist Party and the Janata Samajbadi Party in one metropolitan city.
