Alliance will continue till federal elections, Prachanda says

Kawasaki: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said people should be informed about the plot made to subvert republicanism by those forces opposing this constitution.

Addressing the party’s training programme at Devchuli in Nawalpur on Saturday, the Maoist Centre Chairman said so while adding that the ongoing alliance of ruling parties will continue until the federal polls.

Forging alliance in the local level polls is not an easy job but the alliance will continue even in the federal elections, according to him.

He was of the view that the upcoming election was not merely an election but a battle for the Maoist party.

Prachanda also said the party’s candidates have the obligation to win the poll. “Constitution and republicanism will be defeated if the Maoist party lost the election and the participation of women, Dalti, Janajati, Tharu, Adibasi, Madhesi and others will be curtailed. The rights brought in the local levels from the Singhadurbar will be defeated,” the Maoist Centre Chairman asserted.
