Updating Radio Nepal’s services by using digital technology is the need of the hour: Prime Minister Deuba

April 3, Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that it is the responsibility of Radio Nepal to update its broadcast by embracing the latest digital technology.
Giving a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of Radio Nepal, Prime Minister Deuba said that it is pivotal for Radio Nepal to should understand the plight of the people and speak their language to ensure the right of the people to be informed.
In the message, Prime Minister Deuba mentioned that Radio Nepal has played an important role in every political and social change in the country.
Stating that freedom of thought and expression was one of the basic rights guaranteed by our constitution, he said that the government was always responsible and committed to the right to information under the fundamental right.
The Prime Minister said Radio Nepal’s role during disasters and crises in the country had been commendable.
Prime Minister Deuba also said that Radio Nepal had fulfilled its national responsibility by disseminating reliable information in disasters such as earthquakes, floods and landslides.
The Prime Minister wished success to Radio Nepal in producing, presenting, and broadcasting quality and reliable content in the coming days.
