‘Tarini Prasad Koirala Sanchargram’ a symbol of respect and reverence: Communications Minister Karki

March 2, Kathmandu: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said the late Tarini Prasad Koirala who blew the trumpet of revolution was a symbol of respect and reverence for communication sector and entire society.
He said this while inaugurating the newly-constructed Tarini Prasad Koirala Sanchargram at Biratnagar metropolis-4 in Morang on Friday. The newly-constructed Sanchargram (media hub ) has genuinely acknowledged the contributions of the late Koirala, Minister Karki said, adding that the information and communications sector was also a combination of study and investigation. He further said that the established media village (Sanchargram) would help propagate constructive and creative works as well as explore local literature, art and music. The Sanchargram would be a very useful platform for training, interaction, academic and intellectual discussion and debate, he said, informing that the government has set a target to construct media village in all seven provinces.
Likewise, the Secretary at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Dr. Baikuntha Aryal pledged to extend policy-level support to the media hub.
Addressing the inaguration ceremony, Executive Director of Radio Nepal, Buddhi Bahadur KC said that the media hub would help achieve another milestone in the information and technology sector of the country.
