Indian External Affairs Minister Jaishankar pays courtesy call on PM Deuba in New Delhi   

New Delhi: Minister for External Affairs of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Friday who is in New Delhi for his three-day official visit to India. 

Earlier, Indian Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt, Nepal’s Ambassador to India, Shanker Prasad Sharma, and senior officials from the Ministry of External Affairs, India and the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi welcomed the Prime Minister and his entourage at Indira Gandhi International Airport this afternoon (Friday).

India’s Minister for External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Deuba today itself. The Prime Minister will reach the head office of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today itself to meet the BJP leaders.

The meeting will be for the discussions on contemporary issues. Similarly, the Prime Minister will attend a reception to be hosted in his honour by Ambassador Sharma this evening at the Embassy this evening.

Tomorrow, on April 2, the Prime Minister will hold delegation-level talks with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi at the Hyderabad House and the Indian Prime Minister will host a luncheon in honour of Prime Minister Deuba.

Following the talks with Modi, PM Deuba will take part in the inauguration of the 35- kilometre Jayanagar-Kurtha Railway Service and the Solu Corridor Transmission Line supported by the government of India. Likewise, both Prime Ministers will virtually take updates on the 132 health service centres under construction in Nepal.
